Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla was a mexican catholic priest. On september 16, 1810. Father Hidalgo rang the church bell to announce revolution against the spanish. Indians and mestizos merched with hidalgo and captured major cities but were halted at the gates of the capital. Hidalgo fled north but was caught and shot in 1811.

The anniversary of his call is celebrated as Mexico’s independence day.

From beginning to end…Hidalgo’s Mexican Restaurant was phenomenal!! The host was gratuitous and welcoming. Our waiter Franco may have been THE BEST ever and the Manager even stopped by to ask us how everything was and asked us to come back since it was our first visit. True superstars all around. If you’re looking for excellent, authentic Mexican food , come here and have what I had, the Camerones yadda yadda yadda (I’m very American and can only speak English…insert correct Spanish here). Seriously can’t recommend enough. Thanks everyone…keep it up!!!

Had a great experience. Our server was fantastic. The manager Michele came over several times to see if we needed anything. We will definitely return.
